Hi all! As Wikimanía México is just around the corner, I wanted to share with you all an overview of sessions hosted by Community Engagement department at WMF.
There are hacks, workshops, panels, presentations and discussions covering a range of topics! We will be happy to have you join us in them =)

Presentation and discussion hosted by Alex Stinson.* The presentation will focus on experimental Wikipedia Library programs and tools growing out of these conversations that are focused on university and other research libraries. The discussion will seek to answer: How effective are our reference materials for our readers? Can readers really leverage higher quality scholarly references to help further their research?

Panel Hosted by Jaime Anstee and María Cruz.* A follow-up to learning circles facilitated at GLAM Wiki Conference in the Hague and next step in the learning journey to capture best practices and lessons learned in GLAM-wiki partnering.

* *Voluntary disclosure: Balancing privacy and protection. https://wikimania2015.wikimedia.org/wiki/Submissions/Voluntary_Disclosure:_Balancing_privacy_and_protection 9 - 9:30 hs. Presentation hosted by James Alexander.* Among other key topics, this presentation will address: a quick overview of what we consider personal information and how we protect it from normal demands, an explanation of occasions where we will give information out proactively or without a court order including threats of harm to self or others.
* *Going Global: Creating and growing a Wikipedia Library Branch in your own language. https://wikimania2015.wikimedia.org/wiki/Submissions/Going_Global:_Creating_and_Growing_a_Wikipedia_Library_Branch_in_Your_Own_Language 11 - 11:30. Presentation hosted by Patrick Earley and Jake Orlowitz. *This presentation will show how the Wikipedia Library works on English Wikipedia and explore the knowledge and tools available for building new branches. It will showcase, among other findings, a discovery survey for existing resources, projects, and relationships related to research and the libraries on your wiki, and a community discussion framework to learn what your community wants and needs most from its branch.

Panel discussion, hosted by Winifred Oliff.* What does "volunteer" mean in a Wikimedia context? How do Wikimedians work as volunteers both offline, and online? Are their pathways between online engagement and offline engagement? What motivates volunteers?
* *Making it count: Programs Evaluation 2015. https://wikimania2015.wikimedia.org/wiki/Submissions/Making_it_Count:_Programs_Evaluation_2015 13:30 - 14 hs. Presentation hosted by Jaime Anstee, Edward Galvez and María Cruz.* This session will offer an overview of the second round of programs evaluation reporting covering 10 popular outreach programs — from on-wiki writing contests, photo events, and edit-a-thons to Wikimedia Education Programs and Conferences — findings related to their impact, among other recommendations.
