Hi Wikimanians,
A bunch of hard-working Wikimedians got a grant to run the Ada Initiative Ally Skills workshop at Wikimania. The workshop will teach Wikimedia admins and editors how to support women in Wikimedia projects with specific practical skills (including how to best use existing policies). The workshop will also teach people about the mindset of trolls and what strategies work best for foiling them. Learn more here:

If the pilot workshop at Wikimania goes well, the Ada Initiative will apply for a grant to teach a train-the-trainers class so that Wikimedians around the world can teach the workshop to other Wikimedians (with a focus on reaching admins and very active editors) and adapt it to multiple languages and cultures.
If you are going to Wikimania, or if you know someone who would be a good person to attend this workshop, please apply or encourage them to apply through the form on that blog post! You can also retweet the announcement here:

Thanks,
-VAL
