Hello organizing team!
The schedule page says that there are tours planned for the first two days? Could we know details of this? The link is still red.
I'm asking because I guess most of us would stay a few extra days after (or before) the conference to have some sightseeing in HK, but if there are organized tours, too, would be nice to know what places they include so we can plan ahead and not include parts of the city in our remaining extra days that we would visit anyway with the tour.
Thanks in advance :)

Hello! As it currently stands, there is likely to be one private tour (capacity ~20ppl) of Chungking Mansion. We might also recommend other local tour companies' city tours but won't act as booking agent for those. Deryck

Hi, list!
Me and a few other people where thinking of going to Macao for a day or two, as we're arriving almost a week early. If anyone wants to tag along, please let me know.
Also to the locals: how much is the ferry to Macao and back? Would you recommend a one day trip or should we try to stay over? Anything else?
Thanks!
Dimi

I think it would be a good thing for the organizing team to put up a couple of pointers to tour outfits that they think would appeal to our people (secret tours was mentioned). Also the Hong Kong Tourist Board will have a booth in the registration area at Wikimania during pre-event days and the first day of the conference, to help people get ideas and book arrangements.
Perhaps putting something on the Wiki about this, possible tours, and a sign-up area where people can put up trips that they are self-organizing and looking for people to join?
