I would like to say a huge thank-you to the Taipei team and organizers for Wikimania 2007, which ended a few days ago. It was a fabulous conference and you were incredible hosts. The venue and organization were all wonderful, and the extra touches -- the banners leading to the venue, the Wikiball, the free coffee, the t-shirts and tote bags for attendees, and much more -- made it great. The conference was exciting and a pleasure to attend.
A special thanks to Theodoranian, the lead organizer; TzuChiang Liou, the program manager; Daucter, Dann, Alice and all the registration staff; Frances and KJ; James, the onsite volunteer coordinator, the rest of the Taipei team, and the literally dozens of local volunteers who came to help out. Thank you for your hospitality and for making the first Wikimania in Asia a success. Thanks also to all the international volunteers who helped with different aspects -- especially members of the program committee, the scholarships committee, and the international sponsorships team. It was great to work with all of you.
best, phoebe
Thanks to all attendees, help from our community, foundation and most of all, the fabulous colleagues in local team. Though it's a long list to thanks to, I'd like to express my sincere thanks to all program committee members, you done a lot to make this a great event:
* Phoebe: help me organize the program from the very beginning, thanks!!! * Jakob: always giving great advise and did a excellent job in the whole CFP, submission process. * Andrew, JamesF and SJ make the Free Culture Space (wikimania lounge) enjoyable and substantial, many attendees told us that they love that space. * Angela and Erik help a lot to organize the speakers and board members. * Mike organized a great hacking days extra.
The program can't be done without your help, I'm really really honored to work with you guys!! Looking forward to work with you in the near future.

Besides local team members and the program committee members, I know some friends also help a lot (it's not a complete list, of course):
* Sandy, Craig, Guillaume and Christophe help Frances to organize many interviews, a superb press conference. I already collected over 40 local media coverage, that's amazing! * Sandy, Delphine and Christophe take care of many international sponsorship, give us more resource and energy to prepare the event. * Aphaia and Cary promote the event and make this well-known among communities. * Austin and Christophe help Tim and local technical staffs to make streaming possible. * Jon Phillips and Alain help Mike to coordinate the HDE event * there are some local bloggers help us during this event. * and more...
The success of this event depends on the efforts from all participants, either it's from local or global, wikipedian or wikipedian-to-be. Personally I think the best thing in this event is to know friends from all over the world, and working with you is definitely my best experience, you make this an unforgettable memory, thanks.

TzuChiang
