Hello Arnav, that was the first shocking news I had heard. But I believe that UK Visa bond is only applicable if you wanna stay there for more than 6 months! Correct me if I'm wrong, but that's what I understood from many news article.

India is among the six nations that will have to pay £3,000 as fee from November 2013 to enter Britain.
The scheme will be applicable to visitors from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nigeria and Ghana. The fee of Rs 2.7 lakhs (at the present exchange rate of Rs 90 for a pound) will be over and above all visa costs.
