I am interested in helping out with the program, but could you maybe give a little bit more information? What kind of people do you exactly need, what has already been done, what is to be done in the short run, what in the long run? How many people are already working on it?

We are in the process of shaping how the Wikimania 2008 program will be, discussions are ongoing on how to shape the CfP, tracks, side-events, etc.
And we are in need for more people to get involved in those things, I am hoping we can get the CfP out by the end of January.
