Agreed with all your points but... did you read Florence's first post
to the list? The point of changing the name is not *just* for changing
the name, but for way more practical and boring reasons of domain
names and trademark issues.
So.. where were we?
Don't forget that the name has to be international (Wikimania 2005
was, after all, the first *international* Wikimedia conference).
We had:
-Wikiworld (domain out)
-Wikisym (exists already)
-Wikisem (too close to Wikisym, I would say)
-Wikiconf
-Wikiaffinity
-Wikinfinity
-WikiExpo (that one suggests an exhibition, not a conference, but as
to the trademark issue, I can assure you that "expo" cannot be
trademarked as such, so it would be a possibility)
-ManiaWiki
-add what I forgot
Here are a few ideas out of my foggy brain:
-Wikiwiki
-Wikitalks
-Wikifolly
-Wikiall
-Allaboutwiki
-Wikiwow
-Wikizoo
-Wikifun
-Funnywiki
-WikiWikis
(I love Wikipalooza! ;-))
