This seems very comlicated at all. Apart from this year I would very strong support the idea of Aude: "In the future, we probably want a registration system (like the scholarship app) that reuses more of the fundraising infrastructure (e.g. Global Collect) and so that each year's team doesn't have to reinvent this." Acceptance of proposal for Wikimania

Hi all, according to this page[1] acceptance of proposal for Wikimania session should have been sent out on April, 30th. Since I have made a submission[2] I was wondering if I may have missed some e-mails (including rejection e-mails, eventually). The schedule[3] does not give any additional information at the moment. Maybe the process of proposal approval is late? Do other people having submitted their proposal have some info? Is it just me? I already sent my postal address to the required email address but did not recieve any such letter yet. Can you please have the letter sent at the earliest so I can apply for my VISA application? Dear Wikimaniacs, We would like to announce that the official wiki of Wikimania 2013, http://wikimania2013.wikimedia.org , is scheduled to be closed on 4 June 2014. After this date, the contents of the wiki will locked from editing and preserved as a time capsule. Please feel free to make any final edits to the wiki. In particular, for those who made presentations in Wikimania 2013, please check the video links on your submission pages and add links to presentation slides. If you're making a follow-up submission to Wikimania 2014, feel free to link to that too. The date of the wiki's closure is chosen to commemorate the souls that perished on that day 25 years ago in their quest for freedom. What's wrong with the registration?

I saw there's no registration link on the registration page, only "Thank you for your patience. Enjoy the conference!". I checked the edit history, there was a link on the version at 15:35 of May 6, but the link was removed after about one hour. So is that link still available now? Scholarships from Poland

Dear Colleagues, Wikimania 2014 kicks off in London, UK in just over three months. As in previous years, Wikimedia Polska, Wikimedia's local chapter from Poland, is going to fund four Wikimania scholarships for non-Polish Wikimedians from Central and Eastern Europe (including the Asian part of the former Soviet Union). Our scholarships cover flights, accommodation (without meals), insurance and conference fee. Deadline for scholarship applications is 13th of May (23:59 CEST). Good evening Wikimaniacs! We now have a distributed effort by multiple volunteers in Hong Kong to upload all the video footage from Wikimania 2013 onto YouTube. If you gave a presentation or workshop at Wikimania (and haven't requested that we don't video you), keep an eye on WMHK's YouTube channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/WikimediaHK The plan is that all videos will be available by the end of February. We'd be grateful if you can watch your video and see if there are any defects, because we can't watch every second of the uploaded videos to check them! Deryck
