In my experience patrolling for spam in WP, the way to hide crap is in
a long article. The possibly improper nature of concise articles is
visible immediatel.

That's an interesting point which sounds plausible. 10 articles of 1000
words are easier to patrol than 100 articles of 100 words each. Would that
our patrolling mechanisms were better...
