Heya folks :)
One of the suggestions that came up at Wikimania was to have a newsletter for Wikidata. The idea is that people can sign up and then have important stuff posted to their user talk pages by a bot. Is anyone able to help me set this up?
Cheers Lydia
Hi Lydia,
I can help with this though I have never done something like that before? I can start looking into it.
What is a user talk page? Cheers! Aniket

That'd be great. This exists already for other projects but it'd need some research to find these and how it's done exactly.

It's the discussion page of a user's page. http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Lydia_Pintscher_(WMDE) is mine for example on meta.

I found these three bots: * http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:ENewsBot * http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Thehelpfulbot * http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:ShepBot They all use AutoWikiBrowser (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:AWB) which can be also handled manually.
Hope this helps.
