it would be nice to have a view source tab on the demo page for a short intro look. Installing from Git seems to be a mutch bigger effort.

Do you mean the source code of the website or the wikitext of an article in the demo?

We could have a link to gitweb on our front page, so it's easy for people to browse the source.
