Hello,In case of "edit conflict" the Wikidata UI doesn't provide any explanation about the root cause. It makes the conflict impossible to fix for users. Would it be possible to provide more clues/explanations in the UI?
Case in point: 1) Brad Pitt currently has three spouses on Wikidata: Jennifer Aniston, Angelina Jolie, and "2016".=> See https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q35332 2) I logged in and tried to remove the third "spouse" but it didn't go through and returned an edit conflict. => See screenshot attached. Thoughts?
Cheers.-N.

Hi Nicolas,
An edit conflict usually means someone else edited at the same time as you - in this case probably fixing the same issue you wanted to fix. Reloading the page and seeing if the edit is still necessary is usually the best course of action. I'll see if we can make this more understandable.
Cheers Lydia
Actually this may be related to something else. I ran into a few Wikidata edit conflicts on much more obscure items than Brad Pitt last week. I was quite surprised because I had never even seen the message before. It turns out I had caused the conflicts myself even though more than a few hours had passed since my last edit. I think this may have been a hiccup in the interface, as I have not been able to replicate this problem since.
