I also know of many templates on Italian wikis that are well integrated with Wikidata. But I think james@j1w.xyz meant subst:ed templates that take information from Wikidata and output precompiled infoboxes.

It is not so wide-spread. In the Danish Wikipedia we have {{Infoboks virksomhed}} which can set up part of the infobox fields, see, e.g.,

It is only five of infoboxes' fields that can be set up this way.
