I am super excited! Wikimedia has accepted 3 excellent students to work on Wikidata as part of GSoC this year. They'll be working on language fallbacks, an entity suggester and mobilizing Wikidata. Another student has been accepted by DBpedia to work on Wikidata and DBPedia. Crowdsourcing Biology has accepted a student to work on converting Gene Wiki Bot to work with Wikidata. So there is lot's of Wikidata goodness coming this summer.
Please give them a warm welcome. I am sure they'll say hi here soon and keep you updated on their work.
