Hi, Lydia,
Thanks for the response. I read the bug, and the referenced Project chat discussion ( https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Wikidata:Project_chat/Archive/2013/10#Property...), but they don't seem related to what I am specifically proposing.
Since it seems that both John and you haven't gotten the gist of it, I amended it with a more detailed description and examples: https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Wikidata:Requests_for_comment/Property_documen... .
What I am suggesting is very simply that human-written, and human-readable prose documentation, as written on a property subpage (e.g. Doc:P1060 or Property_doc:P1060) be transcluded onto the Property main page, https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Property:P1060. To make it unobtrusive, perhaps it could be in an expand/collapse block.
Thanks, Chris

John Lewis suggested I was wasting everybody's time, and that it was
already
on the development team's list. Could I get a reference or a pointer to this "list", and to any specification about what exactly is being worked
on,
and what the time frame might be?
You can follow it and find details at https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=49554. I can't give you a time-frame though. I realize it is important to get done to make Wikidata less opaque.
Cheers Lydia
