Can you give an example of something that can be represented in DBpedia, but not Wikidata?
More simply, there's still a long way to go until Wikidata imports all the data contained in Wikipedia infoboxes (or equivalent data from other sources), let alone the rest.
The statement I questioned was "never able"; that's not a matter of "a long way to go".
