Hi,
I am putting together an application (not for WMF) regarding science data in wikis. I have put up a few notes about it on a subpage on my user page on Wikidata:
https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/User:Fnielsen/Open_science_data_in_wikis_with_...
I am interested in representing science data, initially neuroimaging result data, in a collaborative environment where further data analysis can be made in the form of statistical meta-analysis. I have done a bit of testing on test.wikidata.org.
I doubt that with the notability criteria on Wikidata that all such data will be appropriate for Wikidata, but Wikibase could be an interesting tool to setup.
I am interested in hearing if any others would have a science Wikibase in mind. I know the Gene Wiki people are (of course) adding material to Wikidata. Daniel Mietchen pointed me to one other Wikibase instance, - the Europeana, see the pointer at http://wikiba.se/projects/
I could set my own Wikibase up, but I believe it would be more interesting with a joint effort whatever that might be. I even wonder if WMF would be interested.
Comments and contributions are welcome.
