Hey Danny,
just like I anticipated -- Wikidata seems to be determined to reinvent
not only RDF, but also Linked Data...

Hi Andy,
thanks, we were not aware of that WikiProject.
Would it be sufficient if we allowed to choose, for every item in Wikidata,
an identifier scheme or authority (like IMDB, PubChem, ICD11, etc., as per
your list) and an external ID, so that the item can be identified within the
external scheme? I think that Wikidata will provide the stable identifiers
that you seek.
Does that make sense? Is the project active? Do we want to discuss? Will
someone be at Wikimania?
Cheers,
Denny

I've posted some thoughts, at:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Unique_Identifiers#…
What do you think? How do we relate that project to WikiData? Or they
too different?
