Hello all,
Currently and since the Wikimedia projects pages and Wikidata items have
been connected, the link "Wikidata item" appears on the menu column of the
Wikimedia wikis, in the section "Tools".
However, many editors from various projects told us that it would make more
sense to have the link in the "In other projects" section, since Wikidata
is one of the Wikimedia projects and the Wikidata item link doesn’t really
belong to the list of special pages.
This is why we are going to change the position of the link, on August 22nd
for all Wikipedias and August 21st for all the other projects. After this
date, *you will find the "Wikidata item" link in the "In other projects"
section* of all Wikimedia projects.
In some cases, for example on help and meta pages, the section may contain
two links to Wikidata, for example on en:Help:Contents
<https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Help:Contents> where there will be the
"Wikidata" link (linking to d:Help:Contents
<https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Help:Contents>) and the "Wikidata item" link
(linking to d:Q914807 <https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q914807>).
If you want to know more about the previous discussions or mention a bug or
an issue, please add a comment to the related Phabricator task
<https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T66315>.
Cheers,

Dear Sir,
I thank you for your answer. I was mainly interested in the medical side of the biomedical use of Wikidata as the session was included in the Health space. It is sure that attendees with limited medical knowledge will suffer a bit. However, I will simplify and explain the medical information during the session when needed. Concerning your first comment, the word "relations" is widely used in Biomedical Informatics domain to mean associations, relationships, statements or links. You can absolutely refer to a simple Google Scholar search query to verify that. https://scholar.google.ca/scholar?hl=fr&as_sdt=0%2C5&q=%22Biomedical+relati…. Concerning your second comment, I changed "of" by for as required.
Yours Sincerely,

The slides make sense to me and seem to flow well, highlighting important considerations for WikiData and Medicine; however, they may be challenging for audience members with less medical training.
On the penultimate slide:
1. you use the term "relations" where I would expect "relationships" - but perhaps I am misunderstanding the use of terms
2. you state as the third Challenge, "Decide the guidelines of the verification of relations by scientists " - this is hard to parse. Should the first "of" be "for"?

Alright, then the short answer is: No it is not possible to upload a pptx file to the Wikimania wiki.

Thank you Jan, I was just about to suggest the same: convert to PDF and upload to Commons, then link on Wikimania site (this is what I did with my presentation in Lviv last year and I suppose is the common practice)
Houce if you need any help please let me know!
See all of you soon, Best wishes

I thank you for your efforts. I have prepared PPTX Presentation slides for Wikimania 2019. I ask about how to upload them to Wikimania wiki.
Thank you for sharing your slides' sources. Please save them in ODP format (e.g. by using LibreOffice) and upload them on... ahem. I guess archive.org<http://archive.org> would be a good place, we already keep many Wikimania videos there.
On WMF wikis, these formats are currently only allowed on private wikis.

Dear Mr.,
I thank you for your answer. Of course, not all the resources are for Scholia project. Some of them can be used to enrich Wikidata with scholarly data. As you already know, scholarly data on Wikidata lacks support of African countries, institutions and scientists. Using these important resources and tools can help solve such deficiencies. Concerning alternative uses of citation networks, please refer to my research publication https://www.jclinepi.com/article/S0895-4356(17)31073-9/abstract. I am working on other letters about this topic. If you like that, you can join my research efforts about this topic.

Many of the linked resources are data resources (and at least several of them not CC0) and are for Wikidata, not Scholia.
For the software in the list, not all is directly suitable for Scholia either, or is already working with Wikidata. Did you have something specific in mind?

Hi, do you like citation networks? Already 51% of all citations are available<https://i4oc.org/> available for innovative new uses<https://twitter.com/hashtag/acs2ioc>. Join me in asking the American Chemical Society to join the Initiative for Open Citations too<https://www.change.org/p/asking-the-american-chemical-society-to-join-the-i…>. SpringerNature, the RSC and many others already did<https://i4oc.org/#publishers>.
