idea what makes Google dislike certain Wikipedia articles?
There are a bunch of factors. Two that would presumably play a role:
Better linking for other topics than the Wikipedia article, the amount of
people clicking on the Wikipedia article when it appears in search results,
and the content found on the page. Example: Stubs have less content, are
less likely to be clicked on and are not likely to be linked to. All bad
conditions for optimal SEO.
