Hi,
In the previous mailman version you could write a name to an email address so that it was easy to find which user was connected to which email. In this new version I haven't found this feature yet. Does it exist? And if not: is there a possibility to add it?

As part of the transition, I had the mediawiki-distributors list disabled.
Now, I'm getting these notifications, but I do not have any way to do anything about them.

I was away for nearly a month and missed this adventure of upgrading to a new Mailman version. (I even missed some emails as they were put in the Junk email folder and that one was cleared after 10 days... so I've also missed some Listadmins-announce emails).
In any case: I've created an account now and it looks okay. I am still an owner of the various lists as I was. But I have no idea how to add a new member. (They gave me their email address and didn't send a subscription request. In the previous version it was possible to add the email right away. But now?)
Can someone help me?

Two updates:
- We have been upgrading mailing lists to mailman3, now more than 1/4th of
mailing lists have been migrated, more follow today and next week. Some
actions needed (see below)
- We created a new mailing list called listadmins-announce and we are
turning listadmins to a discussion mailing list. So If you don't wish to be
involved in mailing list administration discussions, you can unsubscribe
from listadmins [1] [2]. But being a member of listadmins-announce is not
optional (you can unsubscribe, but you'll be automatically added back in
the next update).
*More on upgrade to mm3:*
Upgrading +700 mailing lists and more than 17 years of digital archive
is... challenging and Mailman3, while being much better than mailman2, is
not perfect.
One known issue is that the upgrade script sometimes truncates the info
field. We have made changes and reported it to upstream to mitigate it but
some mailing lists might not be easily fixable (python version
incompatibilities, etc.). So If your mailing list has been upgraded, please
check and fix that if it happens. Sorry for any inconvenience.
Private mailing lists won't be upgraded for now (possibly later next week
or the week after).
I recommend creating a central account [3] so you can have better control
over mailing lists you are a member of or you are an admin.

It can be positive or negative indeed, But it is still strange, that you
can see that you are a non-member, in principle it is of no use, as you
can't change anything on it, and I think these are settings for the the
admins/moderators of the lists with no need for the users to see it.

I quickly tried to put one e-mail address in the 'Accept these non-members'
section, and it wasn't converted to a non-member so it seems the lists
there work as well. Didn't completely test if it works but I assume it
will, as otherwise there would be more complaints.
Don't mind creating phabricator tickets but I would like to hear a bit more
options, is it ok the old settings with lists with fields have been
converted to non-members, or would it have been better to just have them in
the lists in a text field only, where you have an overview. Any more
opinions?
I also would like a bit more input if others indeed think it is wrong that
you can see the lists where you are non-member off.
At least for the filter option, I already created T282325.

Hi everyone,
In Mailman2 some lists would ban everyone and then manually add
subscribers who should be on the list. In Mailman3 this is no longer
possible, the ban list trumps everything. If an address is banned,
messages from it will be silently discarded, regardless of whether
they're subscribed or any other options.
We have so far either removed these kinds of bans during imports or held
off importing these lists yet.
Please review your list's ban list ("Ban List" tab in Postorius) and
remove any overly broad ones.
As a sidenote, we now have the ability to enact global bans, so if
there's a domain or pattern spamming across multiple lists, we can block
it in one spot.

Today, we realized the bounce processing of mailman3 was broken and once we
brought it back up, it started processing a huge queue of bounced mails.
You are very likely going to receive lots of emails related to bounce
processing (if you have it enabled, for example notification of
unsubscription due to excessive bounce)
