Hi Arne,
I'm currently preparing a big upload of medieval manuscripts for he KB (using the glamwiki toolset), I'm using the Book and Artwork templates for that. Let's have a call or a visit about how to optimize the possibilities of these templates, I'm looking to improve as well.
I'm away next week, but in the week after my agenda is pretty open.
In the meantime you could check out "Digitised version of the Beyeren Armorial" and "Trivulzio" (not sure of the exact category names, pls search on Commons) to get an idea of how I used the templates so far.
On Dutch Wikipedia, I already created an {{Manuscript}} infobox template

Hey all,
I'm helping out with an upload of digitized manuscripts. We were discussing the metadata that come with those, and there were some issues that weren't covered by any of the existing useful templates (book or artwork). However, I would still prefer to use an existing template instead of building something from different fields. Does anyone have experience with uploading manuscripts and associated metadata to Commons, and can point me to some examples of how specific problems were solved?
Best,

Thanks Olaf, I'll check it out! For now, we're going with the Artwork template, it seems that that offers the best options to model manuscript metadata
