Hello everyone!
The registrations for participating in person at GLAM Wiki: The Culture, Heritage and Wikimedia Conference 2023, which will happen in Montevideo 16-18 November, are now open!
Follow the link to register: https://wikimedistasuy.limesurvey.net/583765?newtest=Y&lang=es-informal
Remember that this is only for people that want to participate in person at the Conference. We will be following up with the online program directly on Meta: https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/GLAM_Wiki_2023
We will be publishing the program around mid to late October: https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/GLAM_Wiki_2023/Program
Looking forward to seeing you in Montevideo!
Registered, Evelin. The coloured-badge system for indicating who wants to be photographed is fine, but I would also suggest conference attendees are informed that the subject of a photo should be see and OK the photo before it’s uploaded to Commons (there were some really blurry, red-eyed, and unflattering photos of me taken at Wikimania!)

We can add a sticker to the badge that says "Make me look GLAMorous", how about that?
Point well taken, Mike, we'll try to warn people to avoid posting unflattering pictures of people :)
Hey friends:
my own workaround is to take the no-photo-badge or lanyard for sessions or occasions when i don't want pictures of me to be taken (while eating for instance) and otherwise be fine - If I'm part of a group and just have my eyes closed, I don't mind. Close-Ups of a presenting person without context are unnecessary anyway in my opinion. Why not take a good mugshot afterwards?
Best regards and cheerio Christoph

Hello Christian, thanks for that comment. We'll take this into account -- we'll be sending some reminders to people and we can add this comment "do not take pictures of people while they are eating" is a good thing to have in mind.
