Hi,
Browsing through the Europeana apps, I've reached this page: http://store.carare.eu/landing-page-ha.php?id=iid:2482589&eid=HA:AB-II-a... and I have a few questions about it:
1. I know Carare is/was a research project that brought some content to Europeana. What is store.carare.eu? Is it some kind of content delivery system/constant URL provider for institutions that don't have such an infrastructure? 2. I see no navigation capabilities. How can I find other similar entries? Do I have to go through Europeana for that? 3. I see the rights section says "CCO 1.0 Universal Public Domain Dedication for metadata describing this monument" - does that include all the fields in that page? 4. Looking at the associated media, I see no additional metadata or rights. Is this intended?
Thanks, Strainu
Dear Strainu, I have found a contact at Carare and am contacting them now with your questions. I will get some answers to you as soon possible. Sincerely, -Liam

Dear Strainu, Here are the answers to your questions. I've placed them inline below. The responses come from Kate Fernie, who also suggests that Dimitris Gavrilis is the best person to answer questions about the MORE repository and store.carare.eu, as these were developed by the Athena Research Centre for the CARARE project. Both are cc'd to this email.
Sincerely, -Liam

CARARE is a best practice network and an EU funded project which delivered content to Europeana. We established a repository, called MORE, to aggregate the content and transform it to EDM format ready for delivery to Europeana. We had no plans to develop a searchable portal as part of the project and there is no public interface to the repository. But records are searchable internally, and some specific requirements of EDM meant that we enabled public access to landing pages for content on store.carare.eu.

Currently public users can only find entries on store.carare.eu via Europeana.
- I see the rights section says "CCO 1.0 Universal Public Domain
Dedication for metadata describing this monument" - does that include all the fields in that page?
That includes all the fields in the metadata record for the item of content; all the text fields displayed on the page (I.e. The image is not covered by this statement).

rights. Is this intended?
No, this is poor display. There should be additional metadata and (especially) rights information available. Thanks for pointing it out, I will ask if this can be improved.
Thanks, Strainu
