Hi GLAM folks,
Does anyone have experience with GLAM-type activities with aquariums and zoos? If so, how did it go?
Thanks, Pine
There are two Zoo projects mentioned at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:GLAM/Projects
For example, here is one of the Czech projects. https://mk.wikipedia.org/wiki/%D0%92%D0%B8%D0%BA%D0%B8%D0%BF%D0%B5%D0%B4%D0%B8%D1%98%D0%B0:%D0%92%D0%B8%D0%BA%D0%B8%D0%9F%D1%80%D0%BE%D0%B5%D0%BA%D1%82_%D0%97%D0%BE%D0%BE_%D0%A1%D0%BA%D0%BE%D0%BF%D1%98%D0%B5 Looks like mostly QRpedia codes, and improving those topics. There is a lot of need for good video/audio of different species, etc. Similarly, the hungarian project https://hu.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikip%C3%A9dia:Miskolc-m%C5%B1hely/GLAM-ZOO
Cheers,
Alex

Hello, Pine
I believe that historically the first GLAM project in a Zoo was the one which we implemented in Bulgarian Wikipedia together with Sofia Zoo back in 2012-2013. It was funded by the Wikimedia Foundation (proposal - [1], report - [2], bg coordination page - [3]).
For a brief overview, you can check two presentations in English -- one presented by me at the OpenGlam Conference 2013 in Warsaw and at the CEE Meeting 2014 in Kiev [4], and another, presented by the Zoo collaborator Katerina Zareva at the EZE Conference 2015 in Lisbon [5].
Practically, the Skopje Zoo project, which Alex mentions, came as an outcome of the Sofia Zoo project (the first discussions being initiated in November 2013).
