Dear African Wikimedians,
We are happy to announce that we are creating a new user group. We would like to invite everyone interested to join this new user group named *Wikimedians of Nomads user Group.* The main goals of this user group is to introduce Wikipedia and Wikimedia projects in rural and remote areas using offline projects. You find below the link of the user group: https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wikimedians_of_Nomads_User_Group
Best regards.
Dear Boubakri Thank you very much for this invitation. I serve a community where internet access is a big challenge. People have no access. It has been a source of concern for me as per how do I reach out to this group of people to promote knowledge equity without the internet. Learning that there is a way we could do this is very exciting for me. I have joined the group as a member to see how we can work around this together. Thank you Best. *Chiemezie Atama (PhD)*

Hello Chiemezie
This is a big problem across Africa ... we created WikiFundi to allow for digital skills and wikipedia skills development for offline situations. Take a deeper look at https://www.wikifundi.org/ to see if this works for your community and group.
Let me know if we can help you further.

Hello Chiemezie
Please it would be lovely if you would sign up as members of the Wikimedians for offline wikis UserGroup. Specific link here : https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wikimedians_for_offline_wikis
This is a very informal and loose thematic based UG, in relation to offline. Its members are scattered around the globe. Its goals and missions overlap quite a bit with yours, but with a slightly different angle (yours focus on nomadism, whilst offline focus on... offline ;)) There is a mailing list too, as well as a recently created telegram group
Congratulations on the involvement
Florence / Anthere
On another note... reading the roles of your UserGroup, I read that one of those is
" To represent theWikimedia Foundation https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wikimedia_Foundationto the nomad."
I advise against using those specific words. No UserGroup or Chapter represent the Wikimedia Foundation. I advise replacing it with something like "present the Wikimedia world to the nomads"
