I've stopped anonymous users from being able to create pages, and new accounts from being created without a sysop. To create a new account for someone, sysops should use: http://2017.wikiindaba.net/index.php?title=Special:CreateAccount

I've also deleted most of the spam pages (one gives me a server error when I try delete it, have blanked that one, will look into it more later).

I'm aware the WikiIndaba site is down at the moment. This is due to the connection dying in the middle of an upload while attempting to install an anti-spam plugin. Usually I am able to reconnect a few minutes late (this has been happening frequently), but I've been unable to reconnect now for a while. I will keep trying.
