Dear African Wikimedian,

On behalf of the Wikimedia User Group Nigeria, I'm pleased to announce our intent to host WIKIDABA 2017 in Lagos State or Abuja, the federal capital territory, Nigeria. We wish to inform you that we have the consent and endorsement of major stakeholders in open knowledge movement in Africa[FOSSFA] ( Free and Open Source Software for Africa) and the Federal Government of Nigeria through the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology.

Since 30th May 2016 is the last day to apply for a grant under the current Project & Event Grant, we aim to submit our proposal prior to this deadline. We will appreciate any  suggestion that will help to achieving a successful WIKIDABA 2017.

Being a huge event and it’s about us (African Wikimedian). We therefore, request for collaboration with any willing groups in Africa.
