The wait is over, as we all know everyone has been waiting to hear about
the Wiki Indaba 2022 conference

take place in person in Kigali, Rwanda from 4th-6th November 2022.
The organising team is pleased to inform you that this year’s theme
will be ‘’Advancing
Africa’s Agenda in the Implementation of the 2030 Movement Strategy“ and
the call for proposals is now open. Please submit your proposals for
workshops, discussions and presentations. The deadline for submissions is 01st

The Conference is a few days away, Therefore we are pleased to invite all
interested individuals to apply for the scholarship
<https://tinyurl.com/yfvepbr8>. We have 40 physical full scholarships which
will cover airlines, ground travel, accommodation and catering, and Visa
fee for Active African Wikimedians in Africa and Diaspora and other
mission-aligned institutions in the Open knowledge movement. There are also
40 partial scholarships for local participants in Rwanda which will cover
transport refunds.
The scholarship application is open until *23rd September 2022*.

one of these African Union Holidays:
- Africa Youth Day – Nov 1, 2022
