Hello,
We would love to introduce you to The Afrosounds Project Edit Contest!
Afrosounds is a community of volunteer editors with the aim of promoting
the objectives of open source knowledge, documenting credible narratives
and bridging the knowledge gap that exists in African music and sounds
through the contribution of content (articles & media) on Wikimedia
projects, especially Wikipedia, Wikidata and Wiki Commons and correcting
misinformation and bias.
There exists a paucity of credible information and knowledge on open source
as regards African music and sounds and this is the gap we are trying to
bridge through this campaign. We need you to contribute your sum of
knowledge about these topics in any African language and English language.
If you are interested in writing articles, translating articles or
contributing content to open source that concerns African musical artistes,
African music executives, African music awards, African music instruments
or any other content related to African music, this is your opportunity.
Prizes in the form of shopping vouchers are up for grabs to top
contributors.

For us at OFWA, we started the year with our annual impactful TOT workshop.
We hosted all our hub leaders across the regions in Ghana to a two-day
Train the Trainer session in Accra.
The team was a blend of both experienced hub leads and new and potential
hub leaders. The main objective of the workshop is to equip hub leaders
with basic knowledge on how to manage their hubs as well as how to
effectively deliver training to their members.
The session entailed courses on Wikipedia, Wikidata tools and games,
Wikimedia Commons, Hub Management, Movement Strategy and other courses.
For more insights on the workshop, Kindly read the blog post on Diff here:
