For those Wikimedians with cameras, particularly for those who go to conferences like Wikimania where I believe that camera theft has happened in the past, I'd like to make the suggestion that you consider purchasing insurance for your cameras, lenses, and any related gear.
If you have homeowner's or renter's insurance then you may be able to purchase supplemental coverage for your camera that will travel with you outside of your home, possibly including international travel.
