Just to keep everyone in the loop, since this discussion is going on over two mailing lists: I have just proposed the following timetable on the chapters mailing list:
Friday 7pm-8pm: Council of Chapters discussion meeting Saturday 6:30pm-7:30pm: Gathering of chapters and potential chapters Saturday 7:30pm-8:00pm: Other smaller meetings (eg. Spanish-language chapters, Asian chapters, etc.)
Does that work for everyone?
Again, I second such proposal

Thanks to Jacek for his help, I've now created an entry for the Spanish-speaking meeting: http://wikimania2010.wikimedia.org/wiki/Chapter_Meetings#Letter_B.
I share Morgan's worries about how to avoid having all of the chapter meetings running in parallel (at least we should have the regional and
the
general ones at separate times).

Sorry man. I am confused for booking a room. Chapter Gathering is going to hold on Friday and Saturday. But here: http://wikimania2010.wikimedia.org/wiki/Chapter_Meetings It shows that we can book a room for meetings. Then how can i attend both the Chapter Gathering and my own gathering?

If I read the linked page correctly, there will be about 8 separate
rooms
for chapter meetings in those time slots -- just choose one room for
your
meeting on that wiki page. Best regards, Bence

Dear Jacek,
I think Galio speaks about an "extra" meeting for spanish-language chapters (Argentina, España, Mexico, Uruguay and others). Can this be possible? We only need a room for it.
Thanks,

Dear Galileo,
We planned two special sessions for chapter meetings on Friday and Saturday in the schedule here: http://wikimania2010.wikimedia.org/wiki/Schedule.
I have just created the page for organizing the meetings here: http://wikimania2010.wikimedia.org/wiki/Chapter_Meetings

Hello all, just in the case you were too busy to read the list:
@ Jacek: is this something which must be taken in schedule? @ Marek: how is it about the room? Are there still decisions which
rooms
are finally occupied?

Dear Organizing Team:
We at Wikimedia Argentina have the idea of hosting a special session for Spanish-speaking to-be chapters during Wikimania (in Spanish, complementary to http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wikimania_Chapter_Gathering).
Representatives
of already formed working groups in Spain, México, Uruguay and Chile
will be
attending, just to name the first ones that come to my mind, so we
believe
this could be a valuable opportunity for getting to know each other
and
strengthening collaboration ties. In fact, we are working on a
regional
cooperation initiative we'd like to discuss with them if we get the
proposal
ready for Wikimania.
I know that we are late and that you may have more urgent matters to resolve --believe me, we were in your situation last year!
Nevertheless, I
want to ask if you could find us a room for having this meeting
during
lunchtime or when/where you find an empty slot. If you're OK with
this I'll
then create a page in WM2010's wiki and link it as a special event in
the
schedule, as we did last year with ad hoc activities (http://wikimania2009.wikimedia.org/wiki/Schedule).
I'm not sure if wikimania-planning-l is being used, so I'm CCing to
the
general list.
Best,
Galileo Vidoni Acting Secretary Wikimedia Argentina [[:es:Usuario:Galio]]
