It seems to me that using this material could at least in part be a
violation of copyrights.. Has anyone looked into this.
If we're just using the statistics, and not the original wording, it
should be fine, at least in the US, where courts have ruled that mere
factual information is not protected by copyright (even if the original
publisher went to a lot of trouble to collect it).
