WikiLeaders, Phase 1: Leaders in Medicine

Dear friends, I hope this email finds you well. I want to inform you all that next tuesday, the first workshop of Wikileaders project will start. For this first phase, we will start with tunisian leaders in the medical field, and this phase will be in partnership with Associa_med (Tunisian medical students association) in the medicine school of Tunis. If you have any suggestion about the content, I would love to hear it. About the logistics, we intend to organize a final presentation of the outcome after the two months of work we planned, with the presence of the school's dean and all. In this presentation, we want to give a "Best contributor award". You think we can get a small budget to finance this "ceremony"? Dear all, I hope this email finds you well. Recently, I have met Ms Asma Mansour founder of the tunisian Center for Social Entrepreneurship in an event, and I talked to her about our work in Wikimedia TN User group Luckly, she is having a project in Lingare centers (that are coworking spaces that she started in Mehdia, Sidi Bouzid and Kasserine) about documentation and sotrytelling. I suggested that we add a training in this project about Wikipedia and she accepted (She loved the idea actually). So this weekend, I'll be in Mehdia to train local youth there and the weekend after in Sidi bouzid for the same purpose. I would love to hear your ideas and suggestions concerning this activity. Myself and Habib have heard from some friends in the Arabic region that there are some rumors that our group is behind the efforts to create an Arabic User Group and a Tunisian active Wikimedian, although no more member of our group, is supporting that on behalf of the group. In order to stop spreading these rumors, we suggest to publish the following statement to our fellow wikimedians in the Arabic region: ********************************************** بلاغ الى الوكيبيديين العرب، توضيح لموقف مجموعة مستخدمي ويكيميديا تونس حولتكوين المجموعة العربية: * ان مجموعة مستخدمي ويكيميديا تونس ليس لهااي دخل لا من قريب او من بعيد في محاولة البعض الوكيبيديين تكوين مجموعة عربية لمستخدميويكيميديا. * ان العديد من افراد المجموعة التونسية،ومن بينهم منسقا المجموعة حبيب مهني و يامن بوسريح، يعارضون هاته الفكرة لما فيه من إمكانية تشتيت عمل المجموعات المحليةوامكانية التصادم معها. *المستخدم منير التوزري، لم يعد ينتمي الىالمجموعة التونسية ولم يعد يمثلها وكل مجهوداته في انشاء المجموعة العربية هي مجهوداتشخصية ولا تلزم المجموعة التونسية في اي شيء. Join the third World Mime Day edit-a-thon

*Hello wiki colleagues,I’m writing you on behalf of Wikimedia Serbia, regarding the organization of the third World Mime Day edit-a-thon, on March 22nd.For the last two years Wikimedia Serbia collaborated with World Mime Organization <http://www.worldmime.org/>, whose president is Marko Stojanovic <https://sr.wikipedia.org/wiki/%D0%9C%D0%B0%D1%80%D0%BA%D0%BE_%D0%A1%D1%82%D…>, famous actor in Serbia, mime artist and acting professor. Along with this organization we successfully realized these events (2016 <https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Category:World_Mime_Day_Edit-a-thon_Sing…>, 2017 <https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Category:World_Mime_Day_Edit-a-thon_Sing…>), and this year the edit-a-thon will be part of the First Mime World Conference <http://worldmime.org/en/wmconference/registration>.The edit-a-thon aims to have international character. Previously, Wikimedians and Wikipedians from Macedonia joined us in celebrating this day by writing about notable mime artist, theaters and mime plays.The support for this event came from the United Nations as well: Ms. Irena Vojackova-Sollorano, UN Resident Coordinator and UNDP Resident Representative for the Republic of Serbia, visited the edit-a-thon <http://blog.wikimedia.rs/?p=2231> and praised the volunteers mission.This year we are planning to do the same and we are inviting everyone who is interested in this topic and who thinks that GLAM cooperation could be achieved.
