Sounds like they decided to move it to Antarctica and are now trying to figure out how to sell that to the community :-)
Michael! you are such a good guesser! But Brion is right, we have to balance it between Antarctica and the North pole. Otherwise we will not get proper geographic diversity.
Re: the jury - per the bidders request, we notified the bid committees before making a public announcement. Look for a note later/tomorrow. Please don't lynch me/the selection committee/Cary in the meantime :)
