Hi Andy,
Yes, I can clear this up for you (and any other recipients wondering about this). The first approved date of arrival at the hotel is *July 16*. Accommodations in shared rooms will be provided starting that evening, with checkout on *July 23rd*. Those are the dates our travel agents are working off of. We altered the arrival date to July 16 in ordered to give people time to adjust from jet-lag before the start of the pre-conference on July 18.
Thanks, and hope this answers your question,

I am in correspondence with T and T regarding booking flights to Cape Town. They suggested that arrival on the 16th was standard, but the original email from the WMF said: "Shared accommodation at a hotel selected by the Wikimedia Foundation for up to 7 nights e.g., arriving July 17 and departing July 23, which includes breakfast and internet connectivity", which is contradictory (arriving July 17 and departing July 23 is six nights).
Can anyone clarify on which nights we have accommodation, please?
