Yes, you need them to get in the club unless you have a pass (the blue ones that were being handed).

BTW, the guy behind me (I'm keeping his name secret here :p) asked me if we need the badge or name tag to enter the club. Does anybody know that?
I don't know for sure, but I understand that the badges are our tickets to the club, so yes. :-)
