I know about the Attendees page, but it's been in use for many months and people may not have had visas accepted or changed their plans since, plus this collects additional information.

Yes we do, although they record different things. The duplication is just a result of a lack of awareness of the Attendees page by the person who set up the Hello World page. I'm not sure what the benefit of not merging is, but the suggestion was handwaved away.
