That is true. 711 always had free slurpies on July 11 (7-11 in US date) :)

Just saw on the weather channel that Slurpies are free today between 11 and 7 at the 7-11. Might want to double check before you go, but if it's true, it's worth dropping by, as it's only a minute from the venue, and slurpies are great for the heat!
