Photographer wanted!

Hi from London, as said already, Japanese Wikimedians are planning a meeting along the conference, getting streaming from the venue, but as usual, there will be concerns with stability on connection. And besides that, it'll be quite helpful for the people in Japan (and I suppose most of them haven't taken part in 'mania) to have images from the venue. On the other hand, I have no camera at all. So I'd ask you 'maniacs, specially those who will arrive before its opening, to upload your photos before the conference, even some of them would be quite helpful we think. Photos of the venue etc .... will be very appreciated. As you name it: I know that the registration confirmation mails have been sent yesterday, but I still haven't received something. I will start on Monday morning and arrive on Tuesday, with my wife and 9 month old son what I have pointed out on the registration form. While I personally am adventurous enough to not care to much about the situation it is different when travelling with the family and a small child. Regards, /Manuel -- Urspr. Accommodation

I'm starting my journey to Gdansk tomorrow and it would be really nice to know where I'm going to be staying when I arrive... My usual travelling routine includes writing the address of my accommodation in my notebook the night before I leave to go somewhere and I'm rather uncomfortable not being able to do that.

Confirmations complete?

I love to know when all of the registration confirmation emails have been sent. I've not yet received one, and am wondering how long I should wait. Perhaps I should register a second time just to make sure? Some process guidance would be helpful. Kurt :-)

Streaming?

Hi, I'd like to ask some questions as follow: 1) if streaming is available during the conference 2) if wi-fi connection is available for all participants and the below is not only for the organizing team but for every possible attendees 3) if both of two is "no", can anyone bring his webcam & mobile connection and send the opening ceremony streaming? For instance, using Ustream? I and some other Japanese Wikipedians got a venue in Japan during the first part of opening ceremony where we have a wide screen and projector and have the local watch the streaming from Gdansk. If there is no possibility from Gdansk, we at Wikimedia Kansai need to change our plan. registration confirmation form does not work

I thought I'd let you know that there are a few problems with your form: 1) "Visa assistance" details are required by default, regardless of whether one needs visa assistance - (without passport details the form is incomplete) - which is clearly an error 2) The date fields in the "visa assistance" form which I filled out only to get past the confirmation do not have a disclosed format, so one has to guess the format that works by trial and error. You might have registrations confirmed faster if these bugs are fixed.
