I sent a lengthy message, which Mr Orlowski represented with some creativity, and the version run almost reflects things I said. I strongly suggest that anyone answering one of Mr Orlowski's articles in future also sends a copy to the editor directly: http://forms.theregister.co.uk/mail_the_reg/?user=joef . I have no idea if it'll make any difference, but at least the editor can't then claim he wasn't aware.

Yeah and of course they still put the criticisms on the first page and to find the good statements you have to go through a link at the bottom of the page to get to the second page. It is and has been for some time obviously clear that the register is anti-wikipedia.

I wonder if this aritcle is marked as editoral. It feel so negative! The wikipedia community is not stucked into idealogy, they are trying to address quality problems like AfD, systemwide crap articles, etc. On 10/27/05, Jtkiefer jtkiefer@wordzen.net wrote:

Rather, it is and has been for some time obviously clear that the Register will do anything for notoriety and hits.

Isn't the Register like the Onion, only it takes itself seriously?

Pretty much - except more truth is printed in the Onion.
