We need a policy on "titles of articles about slogans".
Most of us would probably agree that the slogan itself should not be the title of the article:
* [[AIDS Kills Fags Dead]] <= not a good title
How about some convention like "Slogan: XYZ" or "The slogan: 'XYZ'", as in: * [[Slogan: Death to Moonies]] * [[The slogan: Moonies stink]]
(Note that I used a slang word for own church in what I hope are two entirely imaginary slogans.)

In the spirit of [[Aids Kills Fags Dead]] and in honor of Cungcator ("you and JD a consensus do not make") rather monolithic view of the article (considering Axel now endorsed its deletion... ) I have penned [[Death to Kikes]], an informative article about kikes... and soon to come:
Shouldn't that be [[Death to Kikes slogan]]? And shouldn't the article be about the slogan, not about Jews? To be analogous to the AKFD case, that is.

I support inserting the word "slogan" in such situations; whether we like them or not we can't ignore the plain fact that such slogans do exist. Putting "slogan at the end of the title such as in the suggested [[Death to Kikes slogan]] would not be as effective. The point which the title must make is that it is a slogan, and it is being quoted. Adding "The" at the beginning serves no purpose, and only makes the title uselessly longer. Some slogans can already be too long. I'm not sure whether a colon is the proper punctuation, but that is a relatively minor point.

Well what about Vicki's assertion that [[DTK is anti-Semitic? Im afraid just sticking "slogan" on the end of something doesnt cut it.. because it wouldnt "cut it" in all cases... nor could all potential "slogans" be researched adequately enough to discern articles about "slogans" from "articles" that are completely bogus... I agree with Ed that slogans not be the titles... but Ill add that they shouldnt be *in the titles... because how much material can there be in the scope of a hate-speech slogan....
Using Vicki's example of anti-Semitism... there are dozens of articles of various categories of it (or alleged it), .. none of them are *named after language used in the "hate context" - they are general and include context far more substantive (half the time) than the fact that a hair-band singer once wore a shirt with this slogan on it... The notion of every slogan being worthy of an article is nonsense... and lets be further consistent: When I first joined, articles about a single phrases or euphemisms would be knocked off like ducks at a carnival shootout... And how does anything Ed or Ray wrote absolve Cuncator of his poor behaviour...
As for my anti-Semitism... Im guess I'm in a good company with Chomsky, Avnery, and countless other paragons of intellect and truthspeak.. not to mention Jesus... all Jews, by the way.. Read attachment: As for not reading my mind... We would have to be on the same *page for that to be true... -SV

Okay, so why did you do it?
As for my anti-Semitism... Im guess I'm in a good company with Chomsky, Avnery, and countless other paragons of intellect and truthspeak.. not to mention Jesus... all Jews, by the way..
As far as I know, Jesus never shouted "Death to kikes" let alone refused to apologize for doing so.

Sorry, I don't open attachments I don't actively need (e.g., expected files for paid work), because of the risk of viruses.

Which is exactly why you, and I, and all of us need to do our best to communicate clearly.

For punctuation, I'd suggest [[Slogan "Power to the People"]], or perhaps [[Slogan 'Power to the People']]. But most slogans probably don't need their own articles; "Power to the People" and "AIDS Kills Fags Dead" are so well known that they may be exceptions.
