Does anyone know if this extension is still in the works, going to be implemented, or shelved? Because the way some things look right now, we need all the help we can get.

Along the same vein, what happened to implementing a stable version guideline?

This thread has come up several times. The response seems to be some variation of "It's ready. There is no hold up."
Well?

For paranoia, please read "an unwillingness to commit non-optimised code". That doesn't seem like paranoia. That seems like common sense.

No the last objection I heard about was due to security.

I think unsecure code is non-optimised! I'd hardly call it paranoia, either.

You can optimise unsecure code. It's still sub-optimal though.

Wait, wait? Is the code both insecure and and non-optimal? That's two very excellent reasons not to implement it.....

We don't know how optimal it would have been since we never gave it a test run. Last I heard it was being rewriten in a different way which should be more secure. -- geni
