Should BLP guidelines
apply to the "recently deceased"? They are the most likely to have
plenty of living relatives to get pissed at you and a lawsuit from
someone's estate is just as bad as one from the someone.
You can't libel the dead, however pissed the estate is. (c.f.
[[Bare-faced Messiah]].)
The issue is having a good encyclopedia article. In fact, the recently
dead tend to have very good articles ... because the obituaries are
great sources.
