Absolutely. The truly dismaying effect of the Brandt affair is not
that Brandt could ever do us any harm. He cannot. He's neither rich
nor powerful enough. It's what we have done to ourselves as a
community during the course of the affair.
Deleting the article may not placate Brandt, but who cares? It would
be an end to this corrosive infighting.
