No, it merely requires our readers to assume Jesus was born in the year
0. The dating method doesn't state anything about his supposed
God/Messiah-ness.

Even if it is based on Christian beliefs, it doesn't require users to
believe it to actually use it.
You cannot understand the Western world without understanding the
influence of Christianity. BC/AD is part of that history; people are
still free to draw their own conclusions.
