Is launching personal attacks at a person who has said he is refraining
from responding a virtue? If Guettarda had succeeded in provoking an
angry response from Alphax, would he be considered even more admirable?
From my point of view, Alphax jumped into the
conversation to say
several pretty insulting and stupid things, then as soon as
anyone
took issue with that, left the conversation without apology. Not sure
that should save him from criticism.
