We don't discriminate between external links in
the same way. We have
nofollow across the board, whether they are "useful" or not.
And that's because no-one has written the whitelisting code for this
and gotten it past Brion, AFAIK.
Of course, there are good arguments for turning off
nofollow for
external links; I don't really care what we do, as long as there is
consistency.
This is the bit that requires coding rather than complaining.
