And I know this isn't anything new, we've been talking about
this problem for a long time. So is anyone working on a
technical solution?
I mean, it's not like these galleries are hidden to the
reader or even hard to find. Go to [[Pikachu]], click on the
image and then click on [[Pokémon images]] - a very natural
thing to do.
Better still - do a straight Google search for "Pokémon
images". Our gallery is the second hit. I repeat - if you're
searching for Pokémon images on Google you'll find that
Wikipedia has a very nice gallery of them.
We're seeing revert wars and blocks over fair use images on
user pages. I assert that our fair use galleries are a bigger problem.
I can't see this instance as a major problem, even though it goes well
beyond fair use. It is essentially free advertising for the copyright holder
and they are not likely to complain.
Besides, anyone deleting them is going to get their name on the shitlist of
all the Pokemon fen.
