I already am having problems with Susan_Mason, who
has
falsely and ridiculously accused me of bigotry against
Chinese people. Now, however, Stevertigo has made the same
slanderous innuendo against me by saying that I am
promoting "segregation" of languages! That is more than
uncalled for, it is hateful.
A slanderous innuendo? Where? I missed it? Dang...
I would like to add my voice to those others here who
disagree with the use of Chinese characters on the English
language discussion pahes. It is hard to follow the
authors of these discussions when these characters simply
will not show up on many computer screens; when multiple
people use Kanji, the system gets even more out of hand. I
cannot help but believe that this may actually be part of
the reason Stevertigo is doing this.
The fact that he signs his posts with a hard-to-duplicate sig, one
that most likely happens to be the exact' legal rentition of his
birth name, lead me to believe that in fact is his intent that his
post not be confused for any one else's. Whodathunk?
Kanji issues aside, I do not deserve to be a victim of
such
terrible claims against me. If Stevertigo and Susan Mason
cannot control their incoherent attacks, then I ask that
they remove themselves until they can calm down.
Kanji being the primary element of the written language of the second
largest world economy, of a technologically advanced and pionering
nation where the internet is concerned, and the official writ of 140
million people, I dare say that blaming people for using it is
narror-sighted at best.
As far as removing themselves until they calm down, I think the
expression is self-prophetic more than anything. ;)
On a more serious note, Robert, how would you feel if the Internet
had been createdn by the Soviets, and the ligua franca was Russian,
and the script was cyrillic, would you not want to sign your own name
the way your parents meant for you to rather than with less-than
perfect cyrillic approximations?
Hoping to make this a better place,
Sincerely,
=====
